Did you visit the Church of England Diocese of Norwich tent at the Royal Norfolk Show on 29 and 30 June?

There were three areas within the tent, an Environment area for raising awareness of Eco Church; a Mission and Ministry area, where visitors could sit on a sofa and chat about anything or receive prayer if asked for, and a Discipleship area with books and bibles and information about the mission of the Diocese.

As well as this, teams went out ‘to the field’ to chat to vendors, visitors and organisers.

On Wednesday 29 June, the Rt Revd Graham Usher, Bishop of Norwich attended an open air church service and delivered a homily about making connections. He spoke on connecting with God, the connection of the web of creation, parish churches at the heart of connecting rural communities, and connection from people to people as we love our neighbours.

On Thursday 30 June, Bishop Graham gave the inaugural Bishop of Norwich’s Sustainable Environment Young Employee of the Year Award to 17 year old Jamie Hipperson at the Royal Norfolk Show.
