Home Who we are
The Diocese of Norwich is the Church of England across the areas of Norfolk and Waveney.
Belief in God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit is at the heart of our faith. Christians believe that Jesus is God’s Son. Jesus reveals to us that God is our Father, and that God is available to us through the Holy Spirit.
All our church buildings regularly used for prayer and worship can be found through our Find a Church search. Church buildings which are redundant, closed, run by preservation trusts or are now ruins can be found on the Exploring Norfolk Churches website.
We see the ministry of the whole of the Diocese of Norwich, across Norfolk and Waveney, as being about how we live our life together, for the flourishing of every person in every place.
Our senior staff team lead the Diocese of Norwich.
The Diocese of Norwich covers 1,800 square miles, with a population of around 917,000, and we organise this vast area into 20 smaller areas called deaneries.
