Joanne Brown, Treasurer of Friends of Shipdham School said: “We are extremely grateful for the continued support of the local community, pupils and families of the school and staff. Their support has allowed us to enhance the KS2 Area and purchase this equipment.”

She added: “We are currently in the Tesco Blue Token scheme at Watton so if you would like to help us with the next stage of the project please add your tokens. We are immensely proud to have raised over £3100 in the last month alone!”

Mrs Shannon O’Sullivan, Headteacher of Thomas Bullock Church of England Primary Academy said: “We are forever grateful to our Friends of Shipdham Schools, with their tireless support the committee ensures our school is richly supported with excellent new facilities, which the children have a part in choosing and designing.”

She continued: “There are numerous activities and functions which FOSS supports and in the last week alone, they have had a wonderful Summer Fete, supported our Sports Day, offering refreshments and ice pops, attended our Year 6 production, buying end of year shirts for Year 6, ran a raffle, delivered frozen treats for our last hot week for pupils and ran a school disco.  They really are amazing!  Their funding is ploughed straight into our fabulous facilities and making them better for all pupils, all of the time!”

Caz Mason, Chair of Friends of Shipdham Schools said: “I’m so pleased we have raised enough money to make a start on the KS2 area, we were able to do a lot of work to KS1 playground a couple of years ago & the older children have been very keen to get something too.”

Oliver Burwood, CEO of Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust (DNEAT) said: “We are grateful to call those who are involved in bringing this exciting play area to Thomas Bullock. The impact on our children will be positive both physically and mentally.”
