Visit us at the Royal Norfolk Show

The Diocese of Norwich will be at the Royal Norfolk Show in 2019 to celebrate and highlight the church’s role in local communities.

We would love to welcome you into our large marquee at the Royal Norfolk Show 2019!

The Norfolk Show takes place on Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 June 2019 and is the largest 2-day agricultural show in the country with over 80,000 people visiting.

We'll be celebrating and highlighting some of the amazing work local church's are doing in their communities. We've a wide range of activities, areas to explore and exhibits, including:

  • A large Soft Play zone;
  • A cafe and place to rest weary feet;
  • Activities for children & young people, including an animal trail;
  • Art exhibition of peace doves inside our geodome;
  • School choirs and music groups performing on our stage;
  • A Lego wall and a prayer wall;
  • Interactive Lord’s Prayer area;
  • Vote on your favourite style of church music;
  • Walk inside a Bible box and a church photos display;
  • Experience our 'Rooms with a View' area;
  • Sit on the beach and make sandcastles;
  • Watch our short films about local churches serving their communities; and
  • So much more!

Other local Christian organisations will be exhibiting with us to showcase the work they do, including YMCA Norfolk, Norwich Cathedral, Mothers' Union Norwich, STN Trust and Norfolk Postal Bible School.

As part of the activities, children and youth can make a mixture of origami and cut out paper doves which will become a mini art exhibition about peace inside a large geodome.

The marquee will have a large café area for those wanting refreshment or a place to stop and relax as well as featuring a large soft play area for toddlers and parents.

Speaking about the vision, Gordon Darley, Director of Marketing & Communications for the Diocese of Norwich, said:

“The Show is an amazing opportunity to highlight what God is doing across Norfolk and Waveney through the local church as well as promoting Christians working together through many different charities.  Through a vibrant, colourful and engaging presence we want to give just a taste of the love God has for all.”

Do come and join us!
