‘Wonderful and inspiring’ prayer walks take place across the Diocese of Norwich.

“What a fantastic way to spend the morning”

“Great to meet people, walk, share and pray with them”

“Every week should start with a prayer walk!”

On Tuesday 1st September, a series of prayer walks took place across the Diocese of Norwich, with people gathering to pray for their local churches, schools, communities and the Mission strategy.

The Prayer Walks took place in six different groups or benefices, they were:

  • The Coxford Group of Churches with Toftrees and the Creakes Benefice, starting at All Saints and St Andrew’s Tattersett
  • Gaywood St Faith’s
  • Norwich South Deanery, Cringleford
  • Redenhall, starting at St Mary’s Church, 7 Churches Benefice
  • Wymondham, starting at Wymondham Abbey
  • Aylsham and District, Marriott’s Way

“It was so good to be part of today’s Prayer Walks. Six benefices and deaneries from right across the diocese organised walks on the same day so there was a real sense of over 80 people from all across the diocese gathering to pray for their community, their churches and the diocesan strategy. We were blessed with good weather, cakes, biscuits and drinks and it was a real pleasure to walk and pray with people too. Thank you to everybody who organised a prayer walk and to everybody who came along.” Revd Richard Lamey, Director of Mission and Ministry.
