My name is Harry and I’m 22 and I do security and retail in nightclubs. I used to come into a church during the day and read from the bible, before I started speaking to anyone about coming to church. Every time I came to the church, I felt that all my issues were left at the door and I was alone and at peace.
My faith started in March last year, I was introduced to Crossroads and the support and guidance I received has been amazing. I was baptised in October and its confirmed my belief even more that this is one of the greatest things to happen to me. Before my faith, I thought my work environment was good, but now I have my faith I’ve realised its not. It’s interesting to see another side of the world and it gives me compassion.
Someone did say to me once that the environment I work in is very dark and I bring light to the dark. Faith has helped shape my
own life. I can see how God has worked within my life.
