Join the Diocese of Norwich as our Growing Younger Lead and play an influential role in our diocesan mission, providing strategic leadership for our work with children, young people and families across Norfolk and Waveney.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing strategic leadership for our work with children, young people and families across the Diocese
  • Ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding across all CYF activity
  • Championing the voices of children and young people at every level of diocesan life
  • Shaping vision, strategy and diocesan priorities for Growing Younger
  • Leading and developing the Children, Youth & Families (CYF) team
  • Supporting, equipping and inspiring churches of all sizes and contexts
  • Building strong partnerships with parishes, schools, charities and national church bodies

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Professional qualification in youth work, children’s work, teaching, education or similar relevant area
  • Significant experience working with children, young people and/or families, ideally within a church or educational context
  • Brings credibility, vision and confidence as a strategic leader
  • Is an inspiring communicator, trainer and advocate
  • Has a strong understanding of safeguarding and best practice
  • Can build positive relationships with clergy, lay leaders, volunteers and partners
  • Is committed to collaborative, values-driven working
  • Is a practising Christian, able to lead worship and offer accessible Bible teaching to children, young people and families
