Salary: £17,772pa (£29,621 FTE)

Join the Diocese of Norwich as our Children, Youth & Families (CYF) Project Adviser to join our Parish Support Team on a one-year maternity cover contract. This is a varied, relational and public‑facing role supporting CYF mission and ministry across churches and schools throughout Norfolk and Waveney.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordinating projects that support children, youth and families in church and school contexts
  • Planning and delivering an annual programme of training, networking events and diocesan initiatives
  • Acting as a key contact for established projects such as Godly Play, Messy Church, Prayer Spaces in Schools, Open the Book and Bubble Church
  • Leading diocesan support for mission with under 5s
  • Managing and promoting diocesan resource centres and lending libraries
  • Championing the voice of children and young people across diocesan life

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Experience of working with children, young people or families (ideally with under 5s)
  • Proven project management experience
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Confidence in public speaking and facilitating training
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • A collaborative, calm and self‑motivated approach
