Monks ready for Geldeston church festival!

27 September 2023

Two monks heads (head stops) previously eroded to a lump of stone have been beautifully restored and are ready for the service of dedication by the Rt Revd Graham Usher, the Bishop of Norwich at 10.30am on Sunday 1 October at St Michael and All Angels church, Geldeston.

The service forms one of the events as part of other flower and patronal celebrations over the weekend.

The weekend of events is suitable for all the family. On Saturday 30 September between 2-4pm you can enjoy seeing your teddy parachute off the round tower, a display of classic cars, browse the local produce stalls, join a tour of our heroes remembered or just relax by a beautiful country church over homemade teas, a drink or ice-cream. In addition to all this there will be floral displays around the church and a program of music performances. All are welcome and don’t forget to check out the monks!
