By kind permission of Her Majesty The Queen, the Sandringham Estate will host the Archdeacon’s Charge on Saturday 18 May 2019.
The Archdeacon’s Charge is an annual family fun day with a sponsored fun run and walk organised by the Diocese and open to everyone.
This year’s event includes our popular craft marquee with stalls by local crafters and parishes, live music, activities for children and refreshments including bacon butties, cakes and ice cream.
This year we are also offering the opportunity to raise additional funds by having a table in our craft marquee or an outside space for your own stall. Book a spot online and 100% of the money you raise from your stall or table will go directly to your church, school or youth group.
The 2019 fun run will be 15km long; 3 laps of the 5km course. For those who prefer to walk, there will also be a 5km walking route.
Please note that this is a dog friendly event, however dogs are not permitted on the running route but are most welcome on the walking route if kept on a lead.
The Archdeacon's Charge is a great way to raise money for your local church, school or youth group. You can find the sponsorship form above.
Sponsorship money raised by participants goes to the Diocese of Norwich (Charity No. 249318) who allocate 50% toward the Parish Share request of the local church (or to the school or youth group of the participant’s choice) and 50% to the participant’s choice of charity/ appeal from the pre-selected list. Entry charges go to the Diocese to cover the event costs.
All parishes and benefices are invited and encouraged to raise money for their churches by having a craft stall or games gazebo on the day. Please email email@example.com for more information.
We are very grateful to the generous hosts who have enabled the Charge to take place:
