Join Bishop Graham in Taizé this Summer
If you are aged 18-35, you are invited to join Bishop Graham on our annual pilgrimage to Taizé. Located in the countryside of France, Taizé is a place to join a community of prayer, worship, silence, reflection and joining with other young adults from around Europe and beyond to learn with each other.
The teaching of Taizé for 2026 will be centred on the theme: “What are you looking for?”. During the course of our week we will gather for prayer three times a day using the familiar Taizé chants. Each person who comes will join a bible study group, receiving teaching from one of the many Brothers of the community and sharing with a group of diverse young adults. Every day we share in the work of the community, with some pilgrims helping serve meals, others gardening, or if you are one of the fortunate few – being a ‘Shhhh-er’, responsible for encouraging silence before worship!
A message from Bishop Graham:
“Being a pilgrim is about putting our trust in God as we seek to encounter him in the journey, in the conversations we have with the people we encounter, and in the particular spirit of the destination. A pilgrim then returns home and the homeward stretch is just as important. Sometimes it is only when we look back that we see how God has been shaping us on our journey like clay on a potter’s wheel. Join us on this exciting journey!”
We would love you to join us on the pilgrimage this summer, from the 18th to 26th of July. We will travel from Norwich on the 18th via coach, before spending a week in Taizé and travelling back in time for the morning of the 26th. Whilst in Taizé we will camp with others from Dioceses in the UK, including Bath and Wells – you can bring your own camping equipment, or we can help provide these for you.
