Coastal Erosion and inland flooding in Norfolk and Suffolk is not new. However, the rates of erosion and, the intensity and frequency of flood events is increasing due to climate change and sea level rise.
This new area of work, overseen by the Diocesan Environment Working Group, is seeking to enable parishes to provide a prayerful, pastoral and prophetic response to this context. This will include regular prayer for all those potentially affected and looking at connections that can be built upon between all those working in these areas to offer better practical and pastoral support.
As these plans develop into resources and actions, more detail will be added to this page.
