Chelmsford Eco Church 10th Anniversary – Living waters of hope and healing
Join us for a special ecumenical service and event to celebrate 10 years of A Rocha UK’s Eco Church.
We are delighted to invite you to Chelmsford Cathedral on Wednesday 30 September 2026. The service will begin at 5.15pm, followed by light refreshments and an opportunity to meet, chat, share stories and visit the stalls. The panel discussion will commence at 6.30pm.
Everyone is welcome! Come for all or part of the evening – it’s free and we’ll provide refreshments, but please book to help us with numbers for catering.
The cathedral will also be hosting the stunning Threads Through Creation exhibition by textile artist Jacqui Parkinson so make sure you have enough time to enjoy this, either before or after our event.
This event is part of a series of regional celebrations across England and Wales to mark 10 years of Eco Church and 25 years of A Rocha UK! There are other upcoming events in Exeter and Liverpool. Chelmsford Cathedral
Chelmsford Cathedral was the second cathedral to achieve a Gold Eco Church Award for its work in inspiring and encouraging others to care for all of God’s creation. The award reflects the Cathedral’s determination to put caring for God’s creation at the heart of its ministry and mission. The Cathedral is generally open to the public Monday to Saturday 7.30am to 6pm and Sunday 7.30am to 5pm.

Eco Church
Eco Church is A Rocha UK’s award scheme for churches in England and Wales who know and want to demonstrate that the Gospel is good news for God’s earth. We help churches of all denominations evaluate how they are caring for God’s creation across five categories of church life and provide resources for them to take action. You can find out more here.
