A beautiful small church on a little hill overlooking Hoveton and Wroxham, and the valley of the River Bure. The main part of the church dates from Norman times, and has courses of a black building material, ‘iron-bound conglomerate’, as well as signs of an earlier door and window. The little brick tower of the C18 replaces a medieval one struck by lightning. Inside is a delightful little rood screen, through its paintings have long gone. In the windows on the south side are a collection of continental stained glass panels, Swiss, Flemish and German.
