Celebratory education service to champion the region’s children, youth and families workforce

This September, the Diocese of Norwich will host a special celebration service to thank and commend all those working and volunteering with children, young people, families and schools throughout Norfolk and Waveney.

On Thursday 4 September, marking the new academic year, a Celebration and Commissioning Service will be held at Open Academy at 5:30pm.

The Bishop of Thetford, the Rt Revd Ian Bishop, will lead a service which shines a spotlight on the outstanding commitment of staff and volunteers across the diocese.

The event is open to anyone who would like to gather and celebrate the role of school staff, governors, trustees, chaplains, volunteers, youth workers, clergy and the many other roles which provide support to the region’s children and young people.
