Families from across the Barnham Broom and Upper Yare Benefice gathered this month to celebrate the first birthday of Bubble Church, a puppet-filled, Jesus-centred service for young children and their families.
The celebration included singing, prayer, birthday cake and the story of the wise man who built his house on the rock, brought to life with the help of some particularly enthusiastic puppets.
Over the past year, Bubble Church has grown into a valued part of community life, giving families a place to worship, play and spend time together. One mum described it as her daughter’s “safe space”, where she feels comfortable being herself. Others spoke about the warm welcome they received from church volunteers and the opportunity to meet and connect with other local families.
