The Diocese of Norwich is the Church of England in Norfolk and Waveney.

The Diocese of Norwich is the Church of England in Norfolk and Waveney. We are a family of 650 churches and 108 schools, serving 550 parishes.

The diocese as a geographical area covers most of Norfolk and the Waveney part of Suffolk.  We are in the Eastern part of England, known for its wide skies, coastline and the Broads.

Among our notable churches are Norwich Cathedral, Kings Lynn Minster, Great Yarmouth Minster,  Wymondham Abbey,  St Benet’s Abbey, the Julian Shrine and the Walsingham Shrine. Over 90% of our church buildings are Grade I or II listed and we have the most round tower churches in the country.

But it’s our church communities, clergy, lay ministers and volunteers who make this a wonderful place to live and be part of the Church of England. Even if you are not a regular churchgoer, if you live within the Diocese of Norwich, you are welcome and there is a parish church for you.
