At Rosh Hashanah, this time of time of Jewish new year celebration and reflection, I would like to convey my warmest good wishes to Jewish friends and communities here in the Diocese of Norwich.
The beginning of a new year offers an opportunity to give thanks to God for the gift of life and for the blessings of the last year. It also gives us a moment to reflect on where we have come from and where we are going.
I am mindful of our common humanity, and the need both to recognise that which unites us and to commit ourselves to work for reconciliation where there is pain and hurt.
As you celebrate Rosh Hoshanah, I assure you of my prayers for peace, security and blessing for you all.
Shanah Tovah!
