New Priest in Costessey

The Revd Edward has been a Curate at St Thomas, Norwich for the last four years and Costessey Parish will be in mission partnership with the Mitre Benefice. Prior to becoming a vicar, he was a high school teacher and a youth minister at Cromer Parish Church. He is married to Heather and has two young sons.

Edward said:

“St Edmund and St Helen, along with other churches in Costessey, have been a faithful witness to the Christian faith for many years. My family and I are excited to be joining in with that great heritage and being a part of the adventure that lies ahead, as we seek to proclaim the gospel afresh in this generation in Costessey. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to reimagine what church looks like and how we can reach out to, and connect with, the community in different ways.”

“I feel it is significant that two rivers flow through Costessey – the Tud and the Wensum. I love the image in Ezekiel 47 of the river flowing from the temple, bringing life to the banks of wherever the river goes. Costessey’s rivers could reflect the image of God’s love that can overflow into dry places. My prayer is that we would see more and more people in the Costessey area come to know God’s great love for them.”
