This is primarily for curates who were ordained in this Diocese since 2018 and those being ordained in 2022, however, a limited number of spaces are now available for others to join.
Bishop Graham writes:
“Down through the centuries, pilgrimages to the Holy Land have transformed people. The opportunity to walk in Jesus’ footsteps, to experience the landscape, flora and fauna which he knew, to visit the sites where he lived and taught, continues to change people’s lives prayerfully, pastorally and prophetically. As we travel from Galilee to Jerusalem, visiting Nazareth and Bethlehem, our pilgrimage together explores not only the places of Jesus but his effect on the lives of those he met. Led by an experienced guide, we will learn about the sites and their connection to the life of Christ.
“We will also hear something of the lives that Jesus touches today, as we enjoy the hospitality of Christian hotels and restaurants, and visit charities and institutions. Any visit to the Holy Land confronts us with issues of justice and peace and we will hear and see from people living their lives in that land today, gaining a greater understanding of the longings of Israelis and Palestinians. Finally, we reflect on our own lives as we try to discern our personal and individual answer to Jesus’ question, “who do you say I am?”.
“Hopefully our prayers will become richer, how we read scripture will be enlightened with new insights and imagination, and our fellowship with one another will grow.
I invite you to join me as we journey together to discover and explore, reflect and pray, and experience just a part of what this wonderful land has to offer.”
The pilgrimage will be between 20 – 29 March 2023. Price: £1,820 per person sharing a twin/double room on a half-board basis. Single rooms are available at a supplement of £530. Price includes return airfare including hold baggage, accommodation in 3* hotels on a half-board basis, all transport whilst in the Holy Land, services of a professional guide, all entrance fees and gratuities.
