Funding grant for Yarmouth Minster development

One area of the bid was to improve the visual appearance and fabric of the Minster, which has included replacing 43 leaded glass panes, significant internal re-plastering, and cleaning and repairing of gutters at all three parish churches.

A second key area was to improve Visitor Experience to the Minster which included improved Wi-Fi access, and a literature rack. Wifi for additional internal security/safety cameras is a work in progress.

A third key element was to grow the Volunteer Base, which is being coordinated by the Parish Office. There is an intention to be able to offer refreshments to visitors and to sell a wider range of quality goods in the shop.

The fourth required key element of the bid was the employment of a consultant to find a sustainable plan for a funded way of opening the Minster for more hours in the longer term. A detailed, written report with clear options for the Parish is specified in the bid.

In addition, Communications and Marketing will be improved with a new improved Parish website, a professional flyer, internal and external church signage.
