Shine is a collection of personal development mentoring tools for girls and women, designed to develop an understanding of personal worth, strength and purpose and to help girls realize their full potential.
The Shine Curriculum Pack provides unique personal development and group mentoring tools that use an inspirational, practical and experiential approach to learning. The program is founded upon the premise that every life counts and has intrinsic value and fosters an awareness of this belief.
Since its conception in 1997, Shine has been used in over 30 countries and over 1000 organisations, with an estimated reach of over 20,000 girls and women. The curriculum has been used in a variety of settings including schools, refuges, ethnic groups, religious groups, rural communities, indigenous communities, correctional centres and girl’s homes.
