Over 12,000 copies of these study ‘maps’ were originally published in 2011 and all quickly sold out.

This new website enables visitors to find out more about each of the maps within each set and discover more about how they can be used in small groups or for individual reflection.  It contains an interview with Susanna where you can read more about the inspiration behind the series.  She reflects:

“I wanted to give people something special: I really hoped that the action of unfolding the map would feel like unwrapping a beautiful gift which drew them more and more deeply into the episode in question. I knew that using the arts to enrich exploration of the gospel would help people to ‘think feelingly and feel thinkingly’.”

The guides are available to purchase through the website at www.mappingthegospels.org

Unfolding each map reveals a wide range of tools to help you navigate your way around a particular episode of the Gospel. Paintings, poems and prayers are revealed, stirring the imagination and stimulating new insights from the gospel text.

Speaking about the series, the Rt Revd Graham James said:

“Here are ways into studying the gospel which are attractive, engaging and stimulating. They are splendid – thought provoking, reassuring, theologically literate and stirring to the imagination. What I love is the combination of accessibility and depth as well as the way in which these materials feed the imagination and draw the reader into prayer.”

Each set costs £2 for churches and individuals within the Diocese of Norwich, or you can purchase all four sets for £6 (+ postage & packaging).
