Great Big Green Week

30 August 2022

Would you like to get involved in the Great Big Green Week?

It’s the UK’s biggest ever celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature and everyone’s invited.

It takes place from 24 September to 2 October and you can join in by:

  • Hosting a Green Week or an event in your town or village
  • Invite your local MP to an event or write to them about it
  • Host a film screening of The Ants and The Grasshoppers
  • Attend a Green Week event near you

There are several ideas and resources here: Resources – Great Big Green Week

In Thorpe St Andrew, St Matthew’s Church is hosting two events. The first is a ‘Green Fayre’ on Saturday 24 September from 10am to 2pm and the second is called ‘All in a Garden Green’ and it’s a celebration of the garden throughout the ages in music and words. This takes place on 1 October at 3pm with free admission.

Perhaps your church or community could choose an idea from the A-Z guide here: A-Z-of-ideas

Let the Communications team know if you are taking part, email arjf@qvbprfrbsabejvpu.bet or tag us in social media pictures on Facebook @dioceseofnorwich and on Twitter @DioceseNorwich
