Friends of the Holy Land 10th anniversary event a great success

20 November 2019

Friends of the Holy Land are delighted to report that the first event in their 10th anniversary celebrations was a success.

Nearly 200 people joined Archbishop Suheil Dawani, the Episcopal Archbishop in Jerusalem and John Wilson the Archbishop of Southwark at Temple Church in London to mark 10 years of

Friends of the Holy Land’s (FHL) activities in the UK and the Holy land.

FHL and Archbishop Suheil where then joined by Archbishop Phillip Tartaglia, at St Andrews the Metropolitan Cathedral of Glasgow.  This was FHL’s first major event in Scotland and was a huge

success.  FHL look forward to working with our new friends in Scotland and Archbishop Tartaglia to stand firm with our brothers and sisters in 2020 and beyond.

This was followed by FHL’s final service in Coventry Cathedral, where FHL were joined by Cardinal Vincent Nichols, Archbishop Bernard Longley.  This was followed by FHL’s largest ever National Conference where supporters heard messages of support from Cardinal Nichols, Archbishop Justin Welby and Lord Williams of Oystermouth one of FHL’s founding patrons.

Friends of the Holy land were delighted with the success of their 10th anniversary celebrations and look forward to working with their friends and supporters old and new to stand firm with Christians in the Holy Land in 2020 and beyond.
