Charles Parsons, a former member of the ministry training team in the Diocese of Norwich for a number of years, has died after a long illness. Charles was also a Reader and Licenced Lay Minister at Cringleford. He taught and mentored Reader students and Ordinands on the Diocesan Ministry course for many years and continued to do this after training arrangements were reorganised in 2013.
He was a particular help to students who found coming to academic study challenging and gave unstintingly of this time in supporting them.
Charles had been ill for some years, especially with Parkinson’s disease, and died in the Norfolk and Norwich hospital on Sunday 14 August. Please remember him in your prayers especially his brother Richard with whom he shared a house.
Charles’ funeral is on Thursday 15 Sept. at 2pm at St Peter’s Church in Cringleford.
