Understanding Christianity
Mon 8 Nov at 1.15 pm - 5.15 pm
Diocesan House, NR9 5ES

with Chris Allen and Katy McKay
Understanding Christianity was launched in 2016-17. SIAMS reports frequently emphasise the impact of this resource on pupil outcomes, the quality of teaching and increased teacher confidence and subject knowledge. The Norfolk Agreed Syllabus also promotes the use of this resource as a significant element of the theology lens aspect of a multi-disciplinary approach to RE.
These four sessions offer schools and academies (both church and community) who have not undertaken the training before the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the theology and pedagogy which underpin the teaching of Christianity.
All delegates will receive a resource pack (if they opt for the higher cost below) which includes units of work, a wall frieze and RE Today Picturing Christianity. Also, each school will get unique access to the online resources that support Understanding Christianity.
In addition, schools who want to ‘refresh’ their expertise can join this course at a reduced fee if they already have the resource.
Delegates are required to attend all four sessions (either November or June series).
