Churches can seem like mysterious places to the unfamiliar. Demystify yours by hosting an open day.
– Invite people especially families you have had contact with, such as through baptisms, to come and have a look round the church to familiarise themselves with it.
– Find fun and interactive ways to make the church accessible. Offer guided tours explaining the different features of the church, devise a child friendly quiz/trail, offer refreshments and explain about the chuch community and the services and activities that it runs.
