A close shave

St Peter Mancroft, Norwich Curate the Revd Graham Kirk-Spriggs, bravely shaved off his curly locks live on Facebook on Thursday evening. “Thanks, so much to everyone who has donated – we’ve raised over £1,300 in aid of CAW. It’s just phenomenal and I’m touched by everyone’s generosity. COVID19 is a global problem and needs global solutions so overseas development organisations such as Christian Aid need our ongoing support.”

Cycling the byways

Fiona Tibbet, a Licensed Lay Reader at Aylsham Parish Church is cycling to raise funds. “I received my first bike for I don’t know how many years last Christmas, it has been wonderful to get out, cycling in the countryside. I am so blessed to be able to do this. I have gradually been building up my fitness and the furthest I’ve cycled so far is eight miles. To make this hard for myself this Christian Aid Week, I’m doubling that distance on Saturday to cycle 17 miles from my house to Reepham and back. Help us build a world free of injustice and poverty. Not tomorrow but today.”

Cooking up a treat

Paul Scarff, St Edmunds Taverham says: “In the absence of normal events this year, the Norwich Christian Aid Commission have been thinking of other ways of fundraising. With the help of many local churches, we have compiled a book of favourite recipes.”
