Revd Darleen first went sky diving five years ago to raise money for charity. She said:
“It was brilliant, and I would have happily gone straight back up again if I had the chance. I was smiling all the way down. So, when we were looking for different ways to raise money for the church in the Bittern Benefice, I saw the perfect opportunity to do it again. This time I shall know what to expect and I am looking forward to the exhilaration of free-falling followed by the sereness of floating through the air when the parachute opens, all the time knowing that I am raising funds for the benefice. Donations are already coming in via the just giving page and sponsorship forms in the churches, it’s amazing how much the congregation and community will give to get the rector to take a leap of faith!”
