Hannah is currently Vice-Principal at Cobholm Primary Academy, part of the Inspiration Trust, where she is the Strategic Lead for Inclusion. Prior to Cobholm, Hannah was at Coltishall Primary School where she was Head of English, SENCO and Values Lead. Hannah will start at Harleston on Monday 2 November.

Hannah Holgate said:

“It is an honour and a privilege to have been appointed as Headteacher of Harleston Primary Academy and I cannot wait to meet all of the fabulous students and staff who make up our school family and begin our work together.

“I am thrilled to be leading Harleston Primary Academy into the next chapter, building on the great work that is already in place. Despite the difficult times, we are in at the moment, I believe that it is an exciting time for schools, and we are able to home in on what is most important to us; family, faith and education.

“I look forward to being able to invite you to join us at school functions, as soon as it is safe to do so.”

St Benet’s MAT Chief Executive, Richard Cranmer said:

“I would like to congratulate Hannah Holgate on her appointment as the new Headteacher at Harleston Primary Academy. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, it was necessary for the Trustees of St Benet’s Multi Academy Trust to carry out the selection process via video conferencing, and whilst they would far rather have carried this out in the school with staff and children, the process was very thorough and rigorous. Candidates had to make presentations, analyse pupil data, share their vision for the school and set out their priorities through a number of interviews. Ms Holgate performed extremely well in all of the activities and the Trustees were unanimous in their decision to appoint her.

“We welcome Ms Holgate to Harleston Primary Academy and am confident that her skills, experience and energy will enable her to lead the school community to become a real beacon of excellence in the St Benet’s family of schools.”
