Hunstanton and Saxon Shore benefice

The Hunstanton and Saxon Shore benefice, a group of 8 parishes along the beautiful north west coast of Norfolk including the bustling seaside town of Hunstanton, are prayerfully seeking an experienced Priest to lead them in the next chapter of their journey together.

The 5 bedroomed comfortable Rectory is situated in Old Hunstanton.

There is an active ministry team of an Assistant Priest, two Authorised Worship Assistants, six retired clergy, and supportive Churchwardens.

We are seeking a Priest who has

  • A passion to share the love of Christ, and a real desire to see the churches grow and flourish
  • Good communication skills
  • A love of people and an ability to listen well
  • Experience in building good relationships with people from a variety of backgrounds and ages
  • Flexibility and experience in leading worship in a range of styles and traditions
  • A heart for raising up vocations and explore a range of lay ministries

The Task

  • To encourage us to live lives rooted in Christ through prayer and worship
  • To serve the community through pastoral and kindly care
  • To be visible, accessible and resilient
  • To take a collaborative approach to managing and motivating good supportive teams amongst the clergy and laity
  • To be a known and supportive presence in our Church of England primary academy in Brancaster and with young people in the benefice
