Record year for A Church Near You reflected in Easter searches across Norfolk and Waveney

Following a record year nationally for engagement with A Church Near You – the Church of England’s official platform to help the public find nearby churches, events and services – the run-up to Easter has seen a marked increase in views for listings across Norfolk and Waveney.

The past week has seen the average views per church in our Diocese surpassing 200, with 105 parish pages having been updated by registered ACNY editors throughout the region as churches busily advertise Easter plans.

If you are the one responsible for your church’s listing on the site, you can rest assured that your work is having a real impact!

A record year

2024 saw a rise in engagement with A Church Near You, with ever more members of the public engaging with the platform and an increasing number of churches utilising the tool.

AChurchNearYou.com attracted 198,553,330 page views from the public in 2024 – a 55% increase on 2023 and 76% up on 2022.

Alongside this, 18,445 services and events were added to respective churches’ events calendars, with a further 11,733 services and events then shared via social media or email.
