Prayer Walks across the Diocese

Join people from across the Diocese of Norwich as we pray for God’s mission in our communities.

All are welcome to join us on Tuesday 1 September as we gather across the Diocese of Norwich to pray for our local communities, for STREAMS, and for the flourishing of our churches.

Join a prayer walk in:

Redenhall with Scole • Aylsham Team • Coxford • Wymondham • South Norwich (near Cringleford)

Norwich South Deanery Prayer Walk

Start: 10am, Cringleford Meadows Car Park (the small car park opposite the main entrance to the Waitrose car park). Alternatively, parking is available at Waitrose for up to three hours.

Distance: 5.7 km (3.5 miles)

Duration: Approximately 1.5 to 2.5 hours, including 10 prayer stops.

We will be praying for schools at: St Andrew’s, Eaton • St Peter’s, Cringleford • Christchurch, Eaton • Swardeston churches • Earlham churches • Holy Trinity • East Norwich churches • University of East Anglia (UEA) • Bowthorpe Church • St Helen’s and St Edmund’s, Costessey

Redenhall Prayer Walk – 11 miles

Meeting point: 9am, St Mary’s Redenhall Church, 1 Church Close, Harleston IP20 9QS

  • St Andrew’s Needham
  • St Peter & St Paul Brockdish
  • St Leonard’s Bilingford
  • St Andrew’s Scole

Please check the weather forecast in advance and dress appropriately for the conditions. We recommend bringing a bottle of water and any snacks or lunch you may need, particularly for longer walks. Please also wear walking shoes or other comfortable footwear, as some sections of the route may have uneven ground.

Gaywood Prayer Walk – 3 miles
 
Start: Gaywood St Faiths Community Hub 
Date: Tuesday 1 September 
Time: 6pm
Length of walk: 5km (3miles)
Route: Our route takes us through housing estates, past shops and schools. We will walk along the Gaywood river and areas of woodland. 
Refreshments: Tea, coffee and cake served afterwards at the Hub.
