On Monday 29 March the Chrism Eucharist will take place in the Cathedral at 11am. Bishop Graham shall preside and Bishop Alan will preach, and the holy oils will be blessed.
The Chrism Eucharist will be live-streamed via the Norwich Cathedral YouTube channel so that we can join together even as we are physically distanced.
Bishop Graham will travel to Attleborough, King’s Lynn, Cromer and Great Yarmouth on Tuesday 30 March to distribute the holy oils.
You are invited to book to attend one of these services in person. To keep each service secure, however, numbers are limited, so please book now to avoid disappointment.
Commenting on the arrangements for this year’s service, Bishop Graham said, “Like many moments over this past year, our celebration of Holy Week and Easter will look a little different from normal. As social distancing reduces the capacity of the Cathedral, and we will all be at different points on the journey of recovery, we have had to revisit how we celebrate the Chrism Eucharist. It is important to find some ways and moments to be together safely as we recommit ourselves to ministry and walk with Jesus the last steps of the journey to Calvary.”
