It’s the UK’s biggest ever celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature and everyone’s invited.
It takes place from 24 September to 2 October and you can join in by:
- Hosting a Green Week or an event in your town or village
- Invite your local MP to an event or write to them about it
- Host a film screening of The Ants and The Grasshoppers
- Attend a Green Week event near you
There are several ideas and resources here: Resources – Great Big Green Week
In Thorpe St Andrew, St Matthew’s Church is hosting two events. The first is a ‘Green Fayre’ on Saturday 24 September from 10am to 2pm and the second is called ‘All in a Garden Green’ and it’s a celebration of the garden throughout the ages in music and words. This takes place on 1 October at 3pm with free admission.
