St Benet’s Abbey Annual Service
Sun 30 Jul at 3.30 pm - 5.00 pm
St Benets Abbey, Norwich, NR12 8NJ

An ecumenical service to give thanks to God for this beautiful landscape, and to pray for the witness and loving service of all Christian people in the Broads.
The site of St Benet’s Abbey has been a place of prayer, pilgrimage, and spiritual encounter for over a thousand years. The Benedictine monastery founded in the eleventh century was never formally dissolved at the Reformation, and the Bishop of Norwich remains its titular Abbot.
Each year since 1939, an outdoor service has been held on the site, to give thanks to God for this beautiful landscape, and to pray for the witness and loving service of all Christian people in the Broads.
This year, the Annual Service at St Benet’s Abbey will take place on Sunday 30 July at 3.30 pm. As usual, the Abbot of St Benet’s Abbey, the Bishop of Norwich, will arrive by wherry. This ecumenical service is open to all – please do share and encourage others to come along.
