In 2018 we were advised by Historic England that the Church of All Saints is no longer included on the “Heritage at Risk Register” This follows extensive works during the last 6 years including repairs to the tower and the re-slating of the nave and organ chamber roofs. The restoration work has been possible due to extensive fundraising and the generous grants we have received from many organisations including Historic England, Norfolk Churches Trust, WREN and the Listed Places of Worship Roof Repair Fund.
Great Melton was a divided parish in early Norman times hence two churches and one churchyard. The church of All Saints dates back to Saxon times with fine stained glass windows featuring local saints. Both churches were upgraded to Grade II* in 2011.
The restored Ruined Tower of St Mary also accessible within the same churchyard.
The church warmly welcomes visitors.
