Remote; occasional in-person attendance required

The Church of England are looking for a new Systems and Data Officer

Our aim is for everyone in the National Church Institutions (NCIs) to feel that they belong, and are valued for who they are and what they contribute. Together, our people contribute in different ways towards our common purpose, whichever NCI they work in and whatever their background.

The school inspection (SIAMS) team manages the statutory inspection of all Anglican and Methodist schools and academies in England. It also plans and delivers training to all inspectors and implements a system of quality assurance. The team is heavily reliant on Salesforce for the storage and use of data, and all team members make use of the system daily.

The Systems and Data Officer plays a key role in the team’s work, taking the lead on Salesforce, financial transactions, and data. Whilst the team works remotely, maintaining contact with each other is a crucial aspect of our smooth working, and relationships are at the heart of the work. We aim to set an example for what SIAMS inspectors expect to see in Church schools, treating others with dignity and respect, and valuing each individual for who they are.

As Systems and Data Officer, you will take the lead in the inspection team’s interface with Salesforce in order to have accurate and usable data, and develop this data to ensure an effective service for inspectors and schools. You will use the data to schedule regular and timely school inspections.

You will enable other team members to access and use the data effectively and manage invoicing with external partners, including the Department for Education, Church of England dioceses, and inspectors.

This post will be home based with travel to London once a month for team meetings.

Closing date: Sunday 21 May 2023

Interviews: Thursday 25 May 2023
