21 hours pw – Up to £13,200 (pro rata of £22,000) pa

This is an exciting time to join the Spire team as we have plans to expand the services on offer and grow not only the core business but actively pursue external clients from all sectors. At Spire we focus on delivering high profile customer focussed projects that need to be delivered on time, within budget and fulfil the needs of our diverse client portfolio.

We need someone to assist the team with back-office support. This will involve assisting with the administration of and record keeping of the work of the team, which includes such things as, feasibility studies, planning applications, drawings, specifications, and schedules of works etc.

Spire, in the main, deals with capital projects generally associated with either, church and non-church schools, parochial church councils and parish councils. The majority of projects include educational building extensions, repairs refurbishment and alterations, design-work and feasibility studies and heritage buildings including churches, Heritage Lottery Fund applications including work around community engagement.

Essential Requirements

Good organisational skills and an eye for detail

Ability to manage your own time, work to and meet tight deadlines

Analytically minded, with strong problem-solving skills

Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral

Excellent numerical and literacy skills with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft office, Excel, Work, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project.

It would be an advantage if you have experience in working in the Education, Housing, Commercial, Heritage and Ecclesiastical sectors and knowledge of heritage buildings and an understanding of Ecclesiastical Exemption legislation and listed buildings.
