North Walsham

The North Walsham Benefice are looking for someone who will be guided by the Holy Spirit to preach the Gospel, care, nurture and develop the worshipping congregations, and serve and welcome all who live in the surrounding communities.

As a Benefice we are praying for our churches to be lively, growing places where everyone, of all ages, can know and respond to the love of God and accept Him into their lives, being involved in prayer, service, caring and giving.

We need someone:

  • Who will respect, care for and nurture the existing congregation
  • Who will be patient, approachable, caring and a good listener
  • Who will understand and accommodate the need for maintaining familiar forms of worship and music
  • Who will boost and encourage young people’s work to share the message of God’s love to families, and open up worship and activities in exciting and easily accessible ways
  • Who will encourage and lead lay members of the congregation, and those coming to the Christian life, to find discipleship roles at all levels of Christian ministry
  • Who will build on the existing partnership between the Benefice churches, and within Churches Together in North Walsham
  • Who will build on the links with civic and voluntary organisations in the town, as the Civic Parish Church.

We can offer:

  • A warm welcome to the person God sends to be our new Incumbent!
  • A cohesive and faithful Ministry Team
  • Prayerful support from the church families of all the churches of the Benefice
  • An enthusiasm to grow in our faith and expand our ministry
  • The desire to reach out to our communities
  • PCCs who are keen to serve their church and Ministers
  • A spacious four bedroomed vicarage in North Walsham in the beautiful county of Norfolk with access to countryside, coast, the Norfolk Broads and the city of Norwich

Closing date: Friday 20 August 2021

Interviews: Wednesday 8 September 2021
