Norwich Cathedral is a very busy place; with daily services, special services, concerts, exhibitions, events and welcoming daily visitors, members of the Cathedral community, and pilgrims.

On a daily basis, the Vergers look after the floor of the Cathedral, the Hostry, and associated buildings.

The Verger’s role is rich and varied, from verging a great procession with ceremony and splendour on Easter Day to changing light bulbs and cleaning.

Every day is different and this makes the Verger’s role challenging, varied and exciting.
