Working alongside the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Marketing and Communications Assistant will help champion the Cathedral’s digital agenda to both raise the general profile of the Cathedral and also promote the many different events and projects that take place throughout the year, ranging from the Cathedral’s busy programme of Christmas services and events to its annual summer Shakespeare Festival in the Cloister.

In addition to creating and publishing content, the role will involve delving into the Cathedral’s social media and website statistics to ensure marketing campaigns are being delivered to best effect, and the role will also offer support in other areas including dealing with media enquiries, working on offline marketing projects, and running the Cathedral’s online TicketSource box office.

The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to hone their marketing and communications skills while also gaining a behind the scenes insight into the workings of one of Norwich’s most historic and iconic buildings and playing a part in helping to preserve the Cathedral for generations to come.

Flexibility is crucial in the ever developing 24/7 digital world and it is for this reason that this part-time role is offered as a part office-based and part remote working post. We are seeking someone who is a team player but equally confident working independently and, for the right candidate, there is room for negotiation as to how the working hours will be best divided up throughout the working week.
