Acle and Bure to Yare Benefice

Rural, but not remote: based in Reedham (on the Broadland River Yare) a chance to contribute to the life of this established benefice with its range of opportunities for ministry.

The villages to the south of Acle are set in farmland between the Broadland rivers Bure and Yare.  Reedham, where there is a modern Rectory with five bedrooms and a large garden, lies on the banks of the Yare in an area of great natural beauty; to the east are low-lying grazing marshes of European importance for wildlife and it benefits from direct rail services to Norwich, Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth.  The life of the benefice is supported by the Rector, two Readers and six Authorised Worship Assistants.

An assistant priest colleague is sought who:

  • is comfortable with a diversity of needs and preferences
  • is able to work collaboratively and fruitfully with the Rector and lay members
  • will engage in outreach and be proactive in the local communities

Interview by arrangement.
