The Flourish Federation are seeking an Executive Headteacher for the Flourish primary and nursery federation who has the experience, drive, confidence, and ability to help realise the federation vision, “to inspire everyone to flourish, grow and learn in a safe and spiritually rich environment”.

The federation was formed in September 2019 following two years of partnership, both schools and nursery work together to support all of our children. Valuing distributed leadership is a key element of this role and we seek a leader who will work alongside governors, colleagues, and our school communities, to ensure that all children can thrive and flourish.

Alongside Flourish Federation’s Christian ethos and values, there is a strong knowledge-rich curriculum underpinned by the professional development of all our teaching and support staff. We now need to develop and sustain this expertise and monitor the efficacy of what is being taught and what children are learning to ensure that the curriculum is improving outcomes for all of our children. A recent Ofsted monitoring inspection at North Elmham school recognised the quality of the curriculum design.

We have an experienced SENDCo working with two Inclusion Managers in order to support all children and their families. Our experienced safeguarding team works across the federation and has robust procedures embedded into practice. Outdoor learning experiences take full advantage of the extensive outdoor spaces at each school, both schools have dedicated reception play spaces and gardens. All Saints Nursery is adjacent to the Primary School and plans are in place to connect the two buildings. Our Nursery staff /EYFS team work closely together to support our youngest children, the majority of our Reception children at Stibbard attended the Nursery.

We are looking to recruit an Executive Headteacher who has the vision and drive to further develop our federation, someone who can ensure outcomes are improved for all our learners, who has good interpersonal skills, and can lead and inspire all staff across three settings. Both of schools have a role at the heart of the communities that they serve, we are looking for someone who can further develop this and promote the family feel of the schools in order to increase the number of children on roll. We offer the successful candidate a hardworking and evolving federation, an experienced and supportive governing body and the opportunity to develop an outstanding federation. We can also offer mentorship should this be of interest to the successful candidate. Good mental health and wellbeing is very important and we are developing a supportive approach in our schools, we have adopted “5 ways to wellbeing” and have trained champions at each site. Our Christian values; friendship, perseverance, forgiveness, responsibility and trust underpin this.
