All Saints Church Dickleburgh

We are at an exciting moment in our church’s life, seeking to grow our congregation whilst developing our music and worship. Under the direction of our new Rector, The Revd Carl Melville, we are looking for a talented musician (professional or vocational) to help shape the quality of our music within our worship.
We hope that the new Director of Music will:

  • Be willing to play both organ and piano, using traditional and modern hymnody.
  • Help to form and direct a new choir, which we hope will eventually include children from the local primary school/community.
  • Help shape/form a music group

We can offer:

  • RSCM approved salary of £6,400*, plus fees for additional services.
  • A supportive and liturgically minded Rector as line manager.
  • A rather fine Norman and Beard organ, rebuilt in our church in 1997.
  • An electric piano.
  • A willing congregation, eager to reach out and grow in number.
  • The first offering to play for weddings, funerals and other special
services and use of the organ/piano for rehearsal and private tuition.

From September our weekly services will be held at 9.30am. Your time would be focused on this principal service, but would eventually include training, rehearsal and work throughout the week in forming/directing a choir/music group.

Interviews will be held at the end of July. Candidates are welcome to visit the church beforehand.

*salary may be negotiable depending on experience. Appointment dependant on DBS and safeguarding
