Data Analyst

Full time (35 hours pw) £33,418 pa

These are exciting times for the Diocese of Norwich! We have just secured funding to support the creation of a new mission team to lead the development of an exciting plan for reaching people for Jesus so that we realise our vision that they will be Transformed by Christ: Prayerful, Pastoral, Prophetic.

This post has been created to support that work as well as enable the Parish Support Team, and our clergy and laity to make the best use of the information and data available to them.

If you are fascinated by data and can analyse and present it in ways that everyone can understand, then you may be just who we are looking for. As Data Analyst you will need to be able to demonstrate previous experience of managing and manipulating data, proficiency in Microsoft and other software and be willing to develop and create data collection and reporting tools to support research and learning.

Working with our Strategic Programme Manager, you will build effective working relationships with internal and external people who use data for many different reasons and champion a data-driven approach to mission. The role will require a willingness to travel and meet end-users in parishes and in staff teams, the ability to understand their experience, and the confidence to share your skills at all levels of the organisation.

What matters most is the ability to influence and encourage others to adopt a data-driven approach to decision making, because we want to know and understand where best to focus our efforts on mission so that we make the best use of the gifts and resources God has given us.

We can offer…

  • a flexible approach to remote working
  • 25 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays and 3 days of fixed annual leave at Christmas
  • Healthcare Cash Plan (after six months).
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • The office base at Easton is in an attractive location benefitting from free parking with easy access to the A47, just 5 minutes from the Longwater retail park

The closing date is 16 August 2023
