Communications Manager

Posted on: Monday 27 September 2021 | Diocese of Norwich

Easton, Norfolk

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Communications Manager to be responsible for the development and implementation of a multiplatform communications strategy for the Diocese of Norwich, supporting the vision to be Transformed by Christ: Prayerful, Pastoral and Prophetic.

35 hours per week

Salary band F – £37,666

You will lead a small team, creating appropriate content, managing the media, building relationships with journalists, and delivering clear and focused communication and PR activities in the support of our ministry across Norfolk and Waveney. You will need to be a committed Christian with strong experience in public relations and media.

“The Good News of Jesus Christ has always been passed from person to person and it is in hearing his story that people come to faith. Good communication remains a key part of evangelism, and we have so many stories to tell of God’s Church in Norfolk and Waveney being makers of salt and generators of light in our communities. I am looking for an outstanding person to help the Diocese of Norwich to communicate the Gospel and share its life together, both with joyous stories and responding to challenges. With fast changing media platforms this role will take agility and imagination but will also be immensely rewarding. If this makes you excited, and you feel a sense of God calling you to this role, then do please apply.” – The Rt Revd Graham Usher, Bishop of Norwich
