New Bishop’s Adviser for Women’s Ministry appointed

Currently Rector for St Faith’s Church, Gaywood, Julie is about to move to become Team Rector of Aylsham Parish Church.

“I was delighted to accept Bishop Graham’s recent invitation to become the next Bishop’s Adviser for women’s ministry in the Diocese of Norwich,” said Julie. “I hope that in this role I will be able to effectively offer support and encouragement to my fellow women clergy, whilst drawing on the wisdom and good practice shared through the national networks of advisors for women’s ministry.

“I am hoping that people will feel free to contact me with any concerns they may have relating to women’s ministry so that we might continue to work together to ensure that all our clergy are able to fully participate in the life and ministry of the diocese.”

Bishop Graham said: “I’m delighted that Canon Julie Boyd has agreed to become the Bishop’s Adviser for Women’s Ministry and I’m very grateful to her for agreeing to undertake this role in addition to her new appointment as Team Rector of Aylsham. Julie is held in high regard by the women clergy of the diocese and I have already benefited from her wisdom and insights. She will be available to listen; challenge and champion and I can’t ask for anything more.”
