1 February 2018

Archdeacon John has officially presented the East Anglian Air Ambulance with the money raised at the Archdeacon’s Charge & Picnic 2017.

On Tuesday 30 January the Archdeacon of Lynn, the Ven John Ashe officially presented this year’s cheque of £10,297.85 to critical-care paramedics Rod Wells and Dr Drew Welch of the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) for money raised at the Archdeacon’s Charge & Picnic 2017.

Since the inception of the Archdeacon’s Charge, £110,000 has been raised, half of which has been donated to the Air Ambulance as a direct result of the Diocese holding this annual event.

The 2017 event proved to be a glorious day in more ways than one. Despite a rather grey start the sun shone down on the steady stream of runners, walkers and picnickers came to the Bank Holiday family fun day.
